The tremendous reach and effectiveness of the Internet as an information and communication tool provide huge potential for educational institutions promoting their services to regional and global markets.
Realising this potential and its positive impact on developing the country as a hub for higher education, the Ministry of Higher Education recently awarded selected educational institutions for their technological innovation and creativity, including for best website, at Hari Inovasi, a celebration of ICT and its application in the higher education sector.
Metropolitan College, a member of INTI Education Group, was the proud recipient of the Best Website 2009 (Private colleges category) award. The college’s website was evaluated by a panel of 30 judges and came out tops amongst 210 private educational institution websites. The websites were judged on user friendliness, interactivity, multimedia and language presentation, and other areas.
Wong Gon Khiang, Senior Vice President, Regional Campuses Management for INTI Education Group, received the award on behalf of Metropolitan College from the Minister of Higher Education, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin.
“We are proud of this achievement which speaks volumes for the effort by the management and staff of Metropolitan College, INTI Education Group’s business specialty college,” said Wong. “With the Internet being such an important educational tool today, we cannot shy away from implementing creativity and innovativeness in our business.”
