Accreditation

Accreditation is essential to ensure that every institution of higher education meets with the levels of quality set by the governing bodies. All INTI programmes are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education upon recommendation by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), an entity established by an Act of Parliament. The majority of the programmes have received full accreditation; some have provisional accreditation and a minimal have achieved minimum standard. IIU adheres to stringent quality standards set by external accreditation bodies and through membership in professional associations worldwide.

Alvin See

Alvin See has been accepted by Oxford University to study in the Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) programme, a highly esteemed masters-level qualification in the common law world. He scored 5As in his second year of the UK Degree Transfer Programme (Law) at IIU and wrote a law article which was published in the first edition of the INTI Law Review (2007). His remarkable achievements continued at the University of Leeds where he was the third overall achiever in the School of Law among the 176 finalists. He also received the Hughes extended Essay Prize for the best dissertation submitted among all law finalists. Apart from this, he scored the highest mark in class for the Business Law Assessed Essay 2007.

Soo Mei Ling

Soo Mei Ling achieved First Class Honours in Biomedical Science from the University of Adelaide. She enrolled in the Australian Degree Transfer Programme (Science) at INTI International University, was awarded INTI’s Merit Scholarship and completed the 5-semester programme with a cumulative average score of 85.51, making her one of the top two students in her cohort. Upon completing her course at INTI, she transferred to the University of Adelaide for the third year of Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) programme and double-majored in Infection & Immunity and Biochemistry.

Sharon Tan

Sharon Tan Hui Leng achieved first class honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bradford, UK and was the valedictorian for the INTI-University of Bradford Graduating Class of 2008. She is currently attached to a mobile team of Digital Five Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Astro. Her work involves managing WAP portals - from setting up the portals to maintaining them on a daily basis. Her studies at IIU have given her a strong foundation and competence to apply fundamental and advanced technical principles in actual working life. Her internship with a multinational company has also helped her develop management and professional skills. Tan was an active student leader. She was the Organizing Chairperson of INTIAN Night 07, Vice-Chairperson of 11th INTIMA Student Government Presentation and Installation Night and Vice-Chairperson & Publicity Coordinator for INTI Christian Fellowship. She also has experience as Student Affairs Office Club Advisor for 5 clubs / societies.

    IIU received funding from the UK’s Prime Minister’s Initiative for International Education (PMI2) Connect Scheme. The funding is intended to develop joint/dual awards programmes and collaborative programme delivery at undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as strengthen the skills of higher education staff in techniques of developing international collaborative programmes. Bidding for PMI2 Connect was done by the University of Bradford in collaboration with IIU.
